Braddock to William Aidair, 1747; Henry Bouquet, 1760; William Patterson, 1768; Thomas Gage to George Croghan, 1772; Patrick Henry to the county lieutenant of Monongahela County, 1777; George Morgan to Mrs. Mary Morgan, 1777; and George Washington to Tench Tilghman, 1785.

Collection also contains an original manuscript on "Causes of the Alienation of the Delaware and Shawanese Indians from the British Interest," compiled by Charles Thomson, 1758; a "Plan of Fort Le Quesne, Built by the French, at the Fork of the Ohio and Monongahela in 1754," R. Stobo, London, printed by Sayer and Jefferys (1768); The London Gazette, Numb. 9505, from August 23 to August 26, 1755; and a Report of the Commission to Locate the Site of the Frontier Forts of Pennsylvania, published in Harrisburg, 1896, 2 volumes; etc.
