William A. Schnader (1886-1968) was Attorney General of Pennsylvania, 1930-35. He was admitted to the Bar, 1914. He was Special Deputy Attorney General, 1923-30, and Attorney General, 1930-35; and was an unsuccessful Republican candidate for governor, 1934. In 1939, Schnader became a partner in the the law firm of Schnader and Lewis (later known as Schnader, Kentworthey, Segal and Lewis). Schnader was active in representing Pennsylvania and in creating the Uniform Commercial Code.

Contains scrapbooks, 1922-1940 (primarily 1935-1940), 4 volumes consisting of newsclippings, black and white photographs of various sizes and memorabilia relating to Schnader's tenure as Special Duty Attorney General and Attorney General for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and 1934 unsuccessful Republican candidate for governor. Subjects include political campaigns, State Uniform Commercial Code Committees and activities, banquets, ceremonies, meetings and testimonials; and other items including greeting cards, ceremony and banquet programs, ticket stubs and telegrams.
