The Brandywine Battlefield Park interprets the battle of Brandywine that ocurred
on September 11, 1777 between the Continental Army led by General George Washington
and the British forces headed by General William Howe. The Brandywine Battlefield
Collections include the following:
1. Levan Family Business Ledger, ca. 1779-ca. 1815 (microfilm roll #6752)
2. Roll of Captain Mauser's Company with Their Age, Size, Country, etc., August
19, 1777
3. Pay Roll of Captain Mauser's Company of the 6th Pennsylvania Regiment of
Foot in Service of the United States, commanded by Col. Henry Becker, Esq.,
May 1777
4. Jacob Levan Family Death Records, 1822-1854
The contents of the collections may be viewed on microfilm roll #6752 at the
Pennsylvania State Archives. The original collections are housed at Brandywine
