The Pennsylvania School Librarians Association (PSLA) is a non-profit organization created in 1972. It to provides professional development opportunities and current information on school librarianship to library professionals who serve in both public and private schools and universities degrees in library science in Pennsylvania. PSLA is comprised of approximately 800 school librarians, library supervisors, and library educators who provide library services to the state's 1.8 million school students. The Association provides educational development opportunities through publications, workshops, seminars, and conferences.

The Pennsylvania School Librarians Association's mission is to enable every student to effectively pursue information and develop ideas as they construct and share knowledge through independent and class-based explorations in school library programs. Professional development for school librarians facilitates student learning and ensures access to information for all. Their ultimate goal is to develop competent, confident, and inquisitive learners.
