Two different groupings of miscellaneous materials are combined in this series. The first contains various lists relative to the Donation Land program. These files include listings of claimants, listsings of people who signed over claims to various individuals, listings of land tracts claimed, patented and surveyed, as well as numerous other types of lists. The second group of documents contain miscellaneous files, much like those found in series #17.168. Examples of these files include affidavits, applications, correspondence and a few patents.
