Included is a February 9, 1895 issue of the Carlisle Daily Herald, in which appears an article entitled "Pomfret Street A.M.E. Church." The article announces the 135th anniversary of the birth of Bishop Richard Allen and reports that the pastor of the Carlisle Bethel Church, Rev. J. J. Evans, will speak on the subject "The Need of a Leader."
