MG-313. CENTRAL PENNSYLVANIA QUARRY, STRIPPING, AND CONSTRUCTION COMPANY (CPQSCC) RECORDS, 1903-1961.

Located near Hazleton, Luzerne County, the Central Pennsylvania Quarry, Stripping, and Construction Company conducted quarrying in central Pennsylvania from 1903 to 1961. In 1971 it was renamed Central Pennsylvania Industries, Incorporated. The records were donated by Board Chairman William C.M. Butler Jr. in 1979. The Workmen’s Compensation Case (Accidents) and Accounts Receivable Book, September 1913-December 1916 contains an entry concerning an African American man named John Wilson who was injured at work. The record contains his address, marital status, age, and nationality, as well as employment information and case standing.
