MG-411. HERSHEY MUSEUM LOCAL HISTORY COLLECTION, 1734-1931.

The Hershey Museum of American life in Hershey maintains collections dealing with early Pennsylvania life and culture. Materials in its custody include American decorative arts, nineteenth-century Pennsylvania German materials and arts, and North American Indian ethnographic and archaeological materials. In addition, the museum houses artifacts relating to chocolate magnate Milton Hershey’s life and the company town of Hershey.

LANCASTER COUNTY

Included are papers relating to the McElhenny and Littel families, including wills, estate appraisal, receipts, and probate records. The will of Agnes Littel of Rapho Township, Lancaster County, bequeathed to "Negroess Dinah" a milk cow and five pounds yearly for her support with an allowance for a future increase.
