Founded November 22, 1974, the Capital Area Music Association (CAMA) is a non-profit interdenominational choral organization based on Christian principles and standards. The organization’s first director was John Tungston. Anthony T. Leach served as director from 1975 through June 1998 when Paul McPhail became director. CAMA is composed of persons living in the capital city area, including Harrisburg, Steelton, Carlisle, York, and University Choir, Morehouse Men’s Choir, Washington, D.C. Chapter of the Gospel Music Workshop of America, and the E. V. Williams Ensemble.
