Land Records

Business records of the Central Pennsylvania Quarry, Stripping and Construction Company that operated near Hazleton in Luzerne County from 1903 to 1961. This company conducted quarrying in central Pennsylvania beginning in 1903 and was renamed Central Pennsylvania Industries, Inc. in 1971. The records were donated by William. C. M. Butler, Jr., Chairman of the Board of Central Pennsylvania Industries, Inc. in 1979. Also included are records of several affiliated companies such as ledgers and journals of the Bailey Motor Company, the Benjamin Iron & Steel Company, and the Hazleton Realty Company dating between 1910 and 1916.
