Gilbert J. Lupp (b. August 4, 1929-) was a 1964 Democratic candidate for the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, a 1968 Democratic candidate for the Pennsylvania Senate, and served on the State Democratic Committee, 1970-1977. Lupp was a Personnel Technician for the Pennsylvania Civil Sevice Commission, 1959-1960; Chief of the Escheats Division, Bureau of County Collections, Pennsylvania Department of Revenue, 1960-1963; and Chief of Management Systems, Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission, 1973-1985.

The collection contains forty items, including program booklets, letters, photographs and newspapers and newspapers clippings, ca. 1952-1977, pertaining to local, state and national politics--primarily elections in which Lupp participated as a candidate, committeeman or supporter. The materials feature Democratic candidates and include a scrapbook showing Lupp's Young Democrat and Red Cross activities, ca. 1950-1961; Arendtsville [Pa.] Vocational High School "Roll of Classes," n.d. (class years, 1912-1947); and a Gettysburg College testimonial, 1960. The materials reflect Lupp's community activity and involvement in the Democratic Party.
