PENNSYLVANIA CAMPAIGN FOR A NUCLEAR WEAPONS FREEZE COLLECTION

The Campaign for a Nuclear Weapons Freeze was designed to pressure the government to stop the nuclear arms build-up by informing Pennsylvanians of the dangers involved with nuclear weapons. The organization disbanded in 1988. The records include memoranda, correspondence, administrative files, reference materials, membership records, motion picture films, and slide presentations connected with the campaign promoting a nuclear weapons freeze. Also present are copies of a number of newspapers including The Socialist; magazines such as Freeze Challenger, The Pennsylvania Campaign for a Nuclear Weapons Freeze and Frontline; and miscellaneous pamphlets and speech transcripts connected with local, state, and national anti-nuclear and anti-war activities.
