Robert C. Sidman served in the State Constitutional Convention of 1967-1968 and
was a consultant on state constitutions, 1970-1971. Sidman served on various committees
and task forces and held positions in the Governor's Office of State Planning
and Development and other State Agencies, holding such varied titles as executive
director, assistant press secretary, information specialist, and public information
director.
The papers include correspondence, publications of various sorts, reports, scrapbooks,
etc., relating to the career of Robert C. Sidman, especially pertaining to his
role in the State Constitutional revision, 1962-1971. Also included are files
and publications related to advertising, as well as the extraction of natural
gas from coal seams in Appalachia.
As of October 2009 the collection remains unprocessed.
