Principally legal correspondence of Joseph and John Hubley of Lancaster. John Hubley (b. 1747, d. 1821) served Lancaster County for many years as prothonotary, clerk of courts, and recorder of deeds. During the American Revolution, he was a member of Pennsylvania's Supreme Executive Council and served as commissary of continental stores. Correspondents include:
