Duncan C. McCallum (b. 1892) was appointed secretary of personnel in the governor's
office, January 1931, and was appointed secretary to Governor Pinchot, October
1932. He was assistant to the chairman of the Republican State Committee, 1935-39.
He served as secretary to Governor Fine, 1951-54. Papers include correspondence,
1932-54, civic and political mementos, 1931-54, election statistics, 1934-54,
news releases, 1954, newspaper clippings, 1930-58, photographs, 1931-54, etc.,
relating to McCallum's career in state government. Correspondents include John
S. Fine, James G. Fulton, William S. Livengood, Jr., Gifford Pinchot, and M.
Harvey Taylor.
