Representative Robert O. Davis

Robert O. Davis was a Republican member of the House of Representatives from the 13th Districe of Beaver County who served as Vice Chair of the House Transportation Committee. Born in Newcastle on July 15, 1910, he was the son of Thomas and Florence R. Shearer Davis. After earning an A.B. from The Pennsylvania State University in 1932 and an LL.B. from the Duquesne University Law School in 1937, he was admitted to the Beaver County, Pennsylvania and American Bar Associations. He served as a member of the Beaver Area School Board from 1943 to 1955, as well as the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy, National Wildlife Federation, Lions International Society, Society of Friends, and the Italian Sons and Daughters of America. Owner and publisher of the Beaver County Legal Journal, he also served on the Advisory Board for the Beaver County Branch of Penn State University and was elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1966 and was re-elected in 1966 and 1970. He married the former Jane E. Wright on September 17. 1938 with whom he had two children.
