This photograph series forms the bulk of the collection. Subjects relate to
the early development of radio in America between 1898 and 1947. Data found
on labeled photographs include the date, location and names of individuals in
the picture. The majority of photographs document The Radio Club of America,
early radio equipment, navy stations, the 1BCG station and Edwin Armstrong.

The correspondence series provides a glimpse into the lives of members of The
Radio Club of America. Records consist of letters, blueprints and a list of
Edwin Armstrong award medalists. Information appearing in the letters focuses
on The Radio Club of America's policies, meetings and transfers of photographs.

for Selectively Transferring Electrical Oscillatory Energy", magazine articles
and two books concerning the development of radio equipment. Also present is
a copy of the compendium of engineering papers from the proceedings of the Institute
of Radio Engineers published in Washington, D.C. (September 1972).
