Louvered Vents

Decorative louvered barn ventilators became popular in the late 19th century, spurred by the industrialization of sawmilling and the rise of wood-frame barns. Ventilators were important because they kept hay stacks from overheating and provided air flow throughout the barn, from stable to roof.
