MG-278. EUNICE MILDRED McCLOSKEY PAPERS, 1931-1979.

Born in 1906 in Ridgway, Pennsylvania, Eunice Mildred McCloskey was a noted writer and painter who was once described as the Grandma Moses of Pennsylvania. Her artistic output included approximately four thousand paintings, and she authored seventeen books. She was a member of the Professional and Executive Hall of Fame, and a Fellow of the International Institute of Arts and Letters. The papers include personal correspondence, scrapbooks, newspapers and clippings, manuscripts of novels, celebrity autographs and magazine reviews. Among the Newspaper and Clippings, 1958-1977, which are mostly from the Ridgway Record, are two television listings for the program entitle Black Perspective dated May 20, 1975, and April 24, 1976.
