Orchards

An orchard is a plot of land devoted to growing fruit trees. At one time, virtually every Pennsylvania farm had a substantial orchard, mainly apple trees. Typically, only remnants are left. However, in concentrated areas such as the Adams County fruit belt, large acreages are devoted to fruit raising.
